About the Greater Dallas area

In the Greater Dallas area, Junior Bible Quiz teams from area churches get together four times a year to compete with one another.

Our area consists of churches from Southeast Dallas to Rockwall, from far North Garland to Forney. During the 2010-2011, we had 8 churches and 25 teams participating. For the 2011-2012 season we will have 9 churches, and 26 or more teams competing, surpassing the previous year. We are excited about what God is doing in our area through Junior Bible Quiz.

We welcome any church to come quiz with us. Whether you are just starting out as a new team or if you have had some previous JBQ experience, we have a competition division just for you! Our JBQ Philosophy

Junior Bible Quiz’s philosophy of team quizzing for elementary-aged children grades 1st through 6th, centers on four things:

FACTS: The Fact-Pak is a teaching tool to help children develop a love for the Bible, learn important truths about the Bible, mastering its great teachings, and that its truth can guide their lives daily. It consists of 576 questions.

FUN: JBQ offers a fun avenue for children to study at their own level.

FELLOWSHIP: The many ways the question sets can be used, including studying at home with family and friends, provides great Christian fellowship. This fellowship grows as children make new friends with other children from other churches.

FAITHFULNESS: JBQ is a program that helps to teach self-discipline and accountability. Many quizzers leave the program to become leaders in their churches and communities.

JBQ Officials

PLEASE NOTE:
All North Texas District officials must complete an online certification process.

Officials set the tone and keep the order of each quiz match. Well-trained and godly officials can help make a difficult situation much easier. To make sure your officials are well-trained, give each official a copy of the (free!) Official JBQ Guidelines. Then, have each official take the online officials' test* to make sure they can apply the guidelines correctly. Let's set a goal to have the most awesome officials in the country!

*NOTE: You will need to contact Donna Walker for the password for the test - OR YOUR SCORES WILL NOT BE SAVED.

Circle of the Sword

If your officials are learning the questions along with the children, then have them take the JBQ Seals tests and register them for the North Texas District's awesome "Circle of the Sword," honoring the best officials around!

Children in Kindergarten through 6th grade study nearly 600 questions and commit to memory over 100 quotations while involved in the Junior Bible Quiz ministry! This gives them a foundation of scripture and doctrinal teachings from the Bible that is so vital in today's world. Junior Bible Quiz is a fun and exciting way to memorize scripture, meet new friends, and to experience friendly competition.
