Pee Wee Invitational 2012

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Who may compete at the Prayer Mountain Pee Wee Invitational?

A: Any regular Pee Wee Team (see below) or a team whose quizzers do quiz at league meets BUT all of the quizzers on the team must have a low scoring history in league meets.

Q: Who exactly is a “Pee Wee Quizzer”?

A: A true Pee Wee Quizzer is K4-2nd grade and does not compete at league meets. However, for this invitational, we will allow lower performing League quizzers to come and have some fun as long as they are in the age parameters.

Q: What is the format of competition?

A:  Quizzing will be over the first 144 ten point questions. We will play one complete round robin of all registered teams.   Ties between teams will be broken by head-to-head competition.  Individual ties will be broken by number of quiz-outs. There will be two divisions if enough teams sign up-please declare whether your Pee Wee team is young and new or a bit experienced.

Q: Are there any special rules for this meet?

Because our quizzers are very young and we want them to have a FUN experience and be SUCCESSFUL, we have a special set of rules just for this special invitational.  Here they are!

Q: How do we register and pay?

A: Please use the links on the side or bottom of each page to register your team.  Also - please print your confirmation page and mail that along with your check payable to Mt. Creek Community Church.  Here is the mailing address:

Q: Are there awards for quizzers and teams?

A: Trophies will be given out to the top three teams in each division. Top ten individuals in each division will receive a special button. Every quizzer receives a participation medallion.

Q: What is the schedule for the tournament?

A: Please arrive for team check-in at 8:30 a.m. After the opening orientation, we will begin quizzing promptly at 9:00 a.m. Hopefully we’ll be done by lunch time!

Q: What should teams supply?

A: Please bring a working quiz box and an extension cord. Each official should bring a copy of the Official Guidelines.  A special Invitational Addendum will be handed out before quizzing begins.

Each team should supply two well-qualified officials as well as one experienced quizmaster.

Q: Is childcare available?

A: This is a very laid back Invitational…bring the family! But not all rooms will fit large crowds…
